Why I Love Teaching Pilates?

Why I Love Teaching Pilates?

I had no idea when I first discovered Pilates that I would ever become a Pilates instructor. For whatever reason, it didn’t occur to me that I could change careers. And, all I knew is that I loved doing Pilates. But then, I took this leap to become an instructor and I loved it so much I never looked back. Ever. Because I love teaching Pilates so much. And here’s why:

You, I may not even know you but I love being able to provide Pilates to people. Either through my online programs, in person at my studio or as a business coach to other studios and teachers who then can teach even more people. Pilates is the pay it forward that continues on further than I could imagine.

Because Pilates allows you to connect to yourself. Who you are. I love this so much about Pilates. It will meet you where you are and challenge you to grow. On days you are up for it Pilates will challenge what you know. On days when you are feeling low Pilates will cuddle you. Envelope you. Remind you that you can control what you are doing.

I love seeing clients “get” and exercise. The way their eyes light up! And, when they realize they can do something. I know that when they are facing a challenge outside the studio they will remember that in time they will learn how to overcome it just like they did that exercise.

Teaching Pilates is more than just making people fit. It allows me to guide people from where they are to where they want to go. When people come to my studio or on one of my retreats they never leave the same person they came in as. That is because Pilates is a movement meditation and I get to be part of guiding it through someone. They leave taller, brighter, more connected to themselves. I think this is my favorite love of teaching.

I am beyond blessed to get to do what I do and I thank you. I thank you for doing Pilates or being interested in doing Pilates. Because, whether I teach you online, in person or on a retreat or you take from another teacher you are still allowing me to do what I love for a living.
