Online Mat & Reformer Pilates Class Descriptions:
It’s funny how we fall into our feet. Have you ever noticed how you stand? Do you stand more on one side of your foot or the other? I stand heavily into my heels. But, the more I focus on my whole foot the more my entire body gets stronger, more connected.
In this weeks Mat class we are going to focus on how our feet allow us to connect more to our entire body. Leg Pulls will feel soo good when you stand in your feet. Side Kicks will feel so stable when you connect to the outside of your foot!
And on the Reformer we will use the springs and our feet to share information to our entire practice! Ever wondered how the horseback flex and point actually makes the exercise more possible? Wonder no more!

Great class Lesley. How the hell did you get your toes to cross over each other? Mine were popping out all over the place. I obviously need to work on my toe flexibility (or I need longer toes ;-).
My left foot seems to have gone on vacation with yours but I really loved how this class woke up my feet, ankles and legs and hips. Many of the exercises made me smile and that’s a great way to start my teaching day. Thank you. x

OMG I LOVE this quote!!! Thank you for sharing Nikki! I’ve been practicing this foot exercise for a few years. I also have been working on my feet more and more since my knee issues. But I’ve noticed most people can’t do it. Toesox are also helpful for helping practice separating toes. At least the act of putting them on. Thanks for taking class with me and I am soo happy the exercises put a smile on your face! Perfect way to start the teaching day! xx

Never thought of the anchored leg as the more important leg during side kick series. That thought of pushing my foot into the mat made me feel so much more connected! Thanks for the insight!

This was PERFECT the morning after a 14 hour plane travel day (that should have only been 9 hours!)
ugh…I have sooo been there! My last flight day should have been just 13 hours of travel and it was 17 when all said and done…I def did a version of this when I got into my studio the next day. Welcome back!! xx~LL
