Where Can We Connect More?
Online Mat & Reformer Pilates Class Descriptions:
In life it’s easy to think we need more. More money, friends, stuff, props, equipment, exercises and time. But, what we are really looking for is connection. And, Pilates is all about connecting our mind to our body. Our muscles to our center. Basically, it’s about connecting to ourselves so that we can go out and connect to others.
If we connect to our mat and our equipment, it helps us connect to our center and our strength. These connections don’t disappear when we leave our Mat or Reformer.
This week on the Mat and Reformer we will focus on what’s connecting to the equipment and acknowledge what isn’t.
See ya in class,

hmmm. So in the teaser, I am skipping the low back on the way up. I think it’s because of the long legs lifting. But on the way down it’s easier for me to get the full articulation, while keeping the legs lifted. Also, at the start of class, my neutral pelvis means I have a big space under my lumbar spine, including my lowest ribs. So moving my ams overhead, makes an even bigger gap, then I have to really grip my front down to force it to touch. Good to check in, and hopefully with some more thoracic opening, the low ribs will be able to settle into the mat. Extension is still my hardest spine shape, when I try to keep it out of my lumbar. Thanks for the class!!
Carla, thank you sooo much for taking class with me! I love how dedicated you are. One day I’d love to do a virtual session with you. Because I am wondering if its your back or your box or the length of your straps even. All in all it might not be you! But, if in an extension you’re in your lumbar that definitely will effect your flexion. I think this week’s class on the Swan will help you focus on your longest length xx~LL
Awesome class Lesley!! Absolutely loved it
oh yay! That makes me so happy! Thanks for letting me know Jill xx~LL
