Do you ever wonder how you are so strong on one side in one exercise and then in another exercise it switches? No, just me? Ha! I am pretty sure we are all in the same boat when it comes to being asymmetrical! So, this week we take on our sides! One side at a time that is.

IF IT’S NOT ONE SIDE IT’S THE OTHER

Online Mat & Reformer Pilates Class Descriptions:

Do you ever wonder how you are so strong on one side in one exercise and then in another exercise it switches? No, just me? Ha! I am pretty sure we are all in the same boat when it comes to being asymmetrical! So, this week we take on our sides! One side at a time that is.

On the mat we will play more with exercises that are play with asymmetry and then seeing how we can take what we learned and change up how we do our symmetrical exercises.

Then, over on the Reformer we play around with exercises where we take away one leg or one arm. Get ready to do Stomach Massage with one leg! It’ll be fun I promise.

Can’t wait to see a side of you!

xx~LL

P.S. Which side will you be doing twice next time?

Do you know what? I actually did all the unilateral work twice on my left side knowing that is is my weak/tight side in general. :-). Had to keep pausing the video as otherwise you were already on the other side ( I certainly don’t make life easy for myself). Oh my word, that single leg teaser! It sure does show me all the weak points and where I cheat. Great class. Thanks Lesley.

ooh I love how you took class! And, yeah, single leg teaser…it doesn’t lie!! Glad you exercised the Pause button Nikki! xx~LL

Hi Lesley ~. Just finished the reformer class, awesomeness! I love unilateral work because my body is so not even, its always very telling. Like you my left side wants to do its own thing, I like to say its my clever side! Thank you! xx~Lori

ohh what a clever left side you have!! Yes, I think we shall have more unilateral opportunities! Thank you!! xx

Hello Lesley – I just finished the mat class, super fun stuff! I like all the unilateral work its so fun – of coarse my fun is in a totally pilates nerd way, haha! I really liked the side lying bicycle, I knew my left hip area would be like ‘what are you crazy!’ and yes that is exactly what the hip said! Thanks for the awesome classes! xx ~ Lori

OMG I love that bicycle too! It definitely makes the body speak! You and I both speak Pilates nerd! Love it! thank you for taking class every week with me! xx~LL

Anyone else having difficulty getting class to come up? It keeps asking me to register and pay again?

Holy hard! My body just spent 30 minutes confused and asking why?!;) I will be revisiting this class before Tuesday for sure. I like the unilateral work for my metastasis refit rehab as well- no room for letting my TA let go.

YAY!! It was hard…I was struggling while filming and trying to smile through it. I think we will do unilateral more often! seems to be something everyone is loving! Can’t wait to hear how it goes the 2nd or 3rd time around xx~LL

Whooo single leg stomach massage! That was a throwback to my Fletcher Comprehensive Program – I almost forgot about it!

Hi Katie, it’s such an oldie but a goodie right?! Let’s bring it back a bit more often! Thanks for taking class xx~LL

Well that was surprising! I always thought my left side was weaker than my right- turns out, that’s only true for my arms! For literally EVERYTHING else, my left side is actually much more stable and strong. Who knew?!

Great class

Isn’t it crazy what we discover Lisa?! I love this so much because now you can explore both halves of your body and both sides in new ways. Thanks so much for taking class xx~LL
