We invite you to join Mychele Sims, Erika Quest, Tasha Edwards, and Lesley Logan on September 13th, 2020 for a 90 minute round-robin teaching event and round-table discussion focused on body diversity during our event, The Collective Movement Evolution. Details below.

Movement is the great equalizer!

There is power in moving together as a unified and collective group, working towards understanding, sharing, growing and evolving our bodies, minds, spirits and beliefs.

We invite you to join a 90 minute round-robin teaching event and round-table discussion focused on body diversity during our event, The Collective Movement Evolution.

Body diversity! It’s a real thing and something which cannot be ignored in the fitness, Pilates and wellness space. “Less than 5% actually naturally have the body type which is portrayed as desirable in mainstream media.” (The Meadows Ranch).
How do I work with and move my own body, let alone move other bodies in the ever changing ecosystem which is life? If I don’t have the same shape as someone else, can I help that person or client? What really is a “Pilates body” and am I worthy of putting myself out there to discuss this?

We’d like to demystify and discuss all of this, the need to CANCEL the “fitspiration” culture and much more. By way of sharing movement, stories of strength, power, beauty and grace from the perspective of ALL bodies.

As with every event The Collective Movement puts on, our mission stands true, “There is power in moving together as a unified and collective group, working towards understanding, sharing, growing and evolving in our bodies, minds, spirits and beliefs.”

This is a round robin teaching event filled with joy, love and pressing forward with growth and community. This events vision is based upon how media has for decades portrayed unrealistic standards of the human body and how showing body diversity can help shift the “standards” and amplify what’s REAL!
