It’s not often that we focus on what our arms are doing when they are behind our back. In fact, most people never ever even work on this strength. But, luckily Pilates focuses so much on our back (spoiler alert it’s all for the back) that it gives us lots of ways to practice our arms working from our back behind us where we can’t see them. Which makes it easier to work our arms from our back when we can see them.
But, we can’t focus on just the arms. It’s tempting to do that. However, in Pilates, we are never “spot training.” We are always working the body. In this month it’s how long can our arms and back be.
