Workshop 1 : Mastering the Basics of Pilates on the Mat
Whether you’ve never done mat Pilates or you’ve been learning to teach it, this virtual workshop will cover all the basics you need to know to hit your Pilates mat-work with confidence.
In this ‘Mastering the Basics of Pilates on the Mat’ workshop we will cover:
- the basic spine shapes;
- tips for getting into positions;
- what’s the most important thing to think about; and,
- how to modify exercises you might not yet be ready for
This is a 60 minute workshop.
Workshop 2: Mastering the Basics of Pilates on the Reformer
The Reformer is a partner in your Pilates practice if you know how to use it. In this Mastering the Basics workshop we will explore:
- how to connect more to your Reformer,
- how to know if you are not,
- the 2 way stretch on the Reformer,
- how the springs and straps help you connect to your entire center,
- and so much more!
This workshop is more than “beginner exercises.” In fact, we won’t spend a lot time on the levels or order. So it doesn’t matter where you are in your Pilates or teaching practice. Or, even your Pilates background. Bring yourself, your notebook and your Reformer questions!
Workshop 3: Mastering the Basics of Pilates on the Cadillac
What the Cadillac teaches us is more than meets the Pilates eye! It’s stableness, sturdiness, the variety of springs, bars, and of course the eye hooks help you learn more about the exercises that challenge you on the Mat, Reformer and any where else in the room.
In this Mastering the Basics on the Cadillac workshop we will cover all the ways to enjoy connection because of the Cadillac and my favorite parts from my workshop “Is your Cadillac teaching something.” After this one hour workshop there will be after party Q & A.
As always after this one hour workshop you can stay on to ask all the questions you have. You don’t need to be at your chair to participate in this workshop.

Workshop 4: Mastering the Basics of Pilates on the Chairs
There are three Chairs in the Pilates apparatus family and yet many people only have know about is the Wunda Chair. One of the first pieces of home gym equipment. And now because of ‘Rona, many Pilates enthusiasts of all levels are buying their own Wunda Chairs. SOO FUN!
In this Mastering the Basics on the Chairs we will cover why each chair has its own purpose in your practice, how to connect to each chair and see when you’re not connected, discuss how each chair is there to help teach and challenge your Pilates practice and more.
We will also cover how to make your Wunda Chair act like a High Chair (aka Electric Chair.) And, the beauty of the Arm Chair (aka Baby chair,) why it moves and playing with the angle.
As always after this one hour workshop you can stay on to ask all the questions you have. You don’t need to be at your chair to participate in this workshop.
Workshop 5: Mastering the Basics of Pilates on the Barrels
It’s easy to skip the beauty and benefits of the barrels in Pilates. In this ‘Mastering the Basics’ workshop we will go over the benefits of each barrel:
- Spine Corrector,
- Small Barrel, and,
- Ladder Barrel
You don’t need to have all of these to join this workshop.
Workshop 6: Mastering the Basics of Pilates on the Props & Other Apparatus
In this one hour workshop LL will cover fun facts and wonderful reasons to have and use props and apparatus that Joseph Pilates created! We’ll be chatting about the benefits and uses of the Toe Corrector, Foot Corrector, Magic Circle, Sand Bag, Ped-o-Pull, 2×4, Neck Stretcher, Airplane Board… just to name a few!
As always after this one hour workshop you can stay on to ask all the questions you have. You don’t need to be at your studio to participate in this workshop.
