Let’s give our new members some love in the comments! 👇
It’s STILL Wednesday lol
Today I facilitated the professional development day at a university. I was up extra early and decided to circle back to filling my cup. We did not get to a standing workout during the session. However, I did mention how Lesley encourages us to fill our cup first 🫶🏾💖
I completed partial workout today. All the walking, lifting, and moving that I did still filled my cup. Sharing this because I am grateful how Lesley shares to keep going—even if we did part of the workout, or if we watched it. I’m back on schedule for Friday. Still wanted to post. Now it’s time to eat ☺️
New Weekly Classes dropped!
“Things Aren’t Always What They Seem” with @Megan 🤔
In this class, we’ll explore the idea that what you see isn’t only what you get. Pilates is a full-body practice, even when an exercise seems to target just one area. We’ll rethink familiar movements and bring awareness to the muscles that often go unnoticed-finding knees in hamstring curls, glutes in your Hundreds, and support where you least expect it. This class is about curiosity, connection, and discovering how everything in your body works together when you move with intention.
Props: ball and rod for Mat
Holy crap @Megan! How are you doing Swakatee on a Contrology reformer!? I had convinced myself that wasn’t possible! Shave an Ear was better but phew I can’t extend my arm out in Swakatee unless I pull the strap with my other hand. Great class–thank you!
Got out of work early since my son had to go to the orthodontist, so I got my workout done early (for me). I did @lesley.logan ‘s Roll With Me on the reformer and it felt so good! I really enjoy when all of the instructors say things like “this is your open leg rocker position” etc. It helps me out a ton! I really notice that I need to work on my side body strength like Lesley mentioned and I swear sometimes that she can see what I’m doing. “If you didn’t get that transition from shave to hug right, let’s try it again.” HOW DID SHE KNOW?! lol — I impressed myself was able to do the one overhead move with the feet straps (no idea what it’s called), but I tried it was like OH HEY! I also got down on the ground to roll after and definitely felt the connection in crab that I now can channel when switching my legs between shave and hug.
Thanks for a great class!
Happy APRIL TOMORROW everyone!
It’s Monday 🍃
Full cup of Pilates ✅
Gratitude ✅
Nettles Tea Preparation ✅
Small wins compound over time. Fousing on consistency has been my go to. Even when not done perfectly. Progress over perfection. Grace extended and excuses not given.
Thanks OPC for having this space for us to connect and share. 🍃
Happy Friday! What’s your Pilates win this week?!
Mine? I’ve been really focusing on strengthening my back and shoulders, and was able to do 3 sets of the hanging pull up on the cadillac! I’m still working on getting the other pull up variation (that one has always felt impossible for me), but small baby steps for the win!
Your turn!
Friday win….got my butt lifted!!🥰🙌🎉😂(and my upper back wider👍👍)
Happy Friday! ☀️
This morning, I considered doing my routine later in the day. But today is a bit fuller than usual. My thought focused on how important it is to pour from a full cup—not an empty one. Cup has been filled. I also noticed how the thought to delay or put off exercise passes when I don’t listen to it for too long.
Have a great weekend everyone! “See you” on Monday 👋🏾
