As we know they've done studies that show sitting is the new smoking. And, while you're a Pilates rockstar who probably has a standing desk the challenge of going from sitting to standing without using your hands is tricky.

This week's Mat class will take the Long Stretch Series off the Reformer and ask how to get long, get up, get down and yes, we will even do the Elephant. For those of you on the Reformer, we will thread this series through some of the basic exercises and then a grand finale.
It's been awhile since we did all of the mat in 30 min! And, here's the thing, I know for many of you every exercise is not possible. I will be calling options from the beginning of the Mat to replace the end ones. So, you'll get lots of practice!
Hey hey, it's time to spend a little more time thinking about our sides. We always do the side kicks and twists. But, this week we are going to have some fun with side rolling, side bend, and more side ways to move!
This class will make you feel your "longest round shape" in every flexion exercise and your arm-to-back connection. No props needed for this one.
Shave is an integral exercise for so much of what we do in our Pilates practice! On the Reformer and Mat we’ll explore all the ways you can shave.
This week on the Mat we’ll play with the thera-band and weights and how holding them affects our arm-to-back-to-center connection – focusing on our wrists. And, on the Reformer we have lots to talk about!
Upstretch? What? Don’t worry, you know it! You do it in many forms on the Mat, but we call it Double Straight Leg Stretch or Jackknife. So, let’s get up in our Upstretch and we’ll explore how the Mat exercises truly do prepare you for some of the complicated Reformer exercises.
