Teaser with the Guillotine
Teaser on the Guillotine! Another Pilates Teaser to fall in love with. Teaser on the Guillotine is very informative. It helps you work your arms from your upper back. Do it from your shoulders and you’ll feel like the Guillotine is pushing you down. This particular Teaser needs you to have a good connection to your center. And, will help you find even more in your Pilates Shave.
Reach the bar up from your center will help you feel in control.
This can be done from laying on the Guillotine mat if you’re already there. Or, from traditionally mounting the Guillotine with a controlled summersault. Play with where the best start position is for you. Some will like the bar over their waist while others might like it over their chest. I personally prefer the bar over my waist so I bend my elbows wide behind the vertical beams.
Place your hands on the bar shoulder distance or a little wider. Legs long on the mat heels together and toes apart. Work the tailbone towards the heels.
Working straight arms from the upper back simultaneously lift your head, chest and legs up. Stop with toes at the same level of your eyes. Reaching into the bar evenly with both arms bend your elbows wide like you are doing Shave. Holding the legs still and center lifted reach both arms up! Repeat 2-3x. Then reaching up into the bar pull your waist back as you lower your legs, head and chest to the mat.
Roll back up and stop with toes in line with eyes. Reaching up into the bar lower and lift the legs. Or, try leg circles, walking, helicopter leg variations.
Roll down while reaching up into the bar. Do 2-3 sets of Teaser.
