Pencil
Ready to challenge your balance and work your entire foot? Joseph Pilates found unique ways to ensure we could practice Pilates anywhere. And, was very into working our whole foot. Today’s lifestyle unfortunately negatively affects our feet’s ability to remain strong and agile. Using your household pencil or pen to work on your feet is fun and easy to do!

Standing tall with arms by side, hands on hips or using a pole for balance. Legs straight and working into the floor. Reach your tailbone towards the heels and lift tall in the center. Place a pencil or pen on the floor.
Grab the pencil or pen with all your toes, the pinky toe too! Then release the pencil or pen and spread the toes. Repeat and then switch sides.
If going well, try the Marble exercise!
