Leg Series: Small Circles on the Spine Corrector
Pilates exercises can be deceiving. One would think that smaller circles would be easier to than bigger circles. But, if you learned anything from the different types of Circles on the Cadillac using the Leg Springs then you know that Small Circles can be more difficult than any other size Circle. Which is why the Small Circles on the Pilates Spine Corrector are after Circles on the Spine Corrector. And are more difficult. If you struggle with Circles on the Spine Corrector feel free to skip this variation in the Leg Series and come back to it. Use this to make sure you are moving your legs from your center and not your hip flexors.
If going well, give Circles on the Mat and Reformer a go!
Work these circles with zest! Slow doesn’t equal controlled!
Typically done from Circles on the Spine Corrector by Frogging out after a reset. So you’re likely already set up with your knees pulled into your chest, heels together, toes and knees apart. Gaze to the ceiling, shoulders wide and center pulled to the Spine Corrector. Hugging your heels together and Frog out to the diagonal challenging for you. Point through your feet.
If setting up to start, see Frogs for how to set up.
Frog legs out to a challenging level for yourself while you can maintain a connection on the barrel and the mat. Maintaining your gaze to the ceiling draw small circles with zest 5-8 in each direction. Hug the legs together to Frog back in.
If going well continue with Walking and Beats.
